Last week puttered to an end with 3 days of nothingness as waited for the weekend to come. My weekdays tend to be less than interesting as I rarely get any work on Mondays and Tuesdays, and then the only thing I have planned (booked) for Wednesdays-Fridays is 2 hours of tutoring. Gah! It is painful having nothing to do all week. I have tried to find things to do to keep me busy, but I only have so much patience for crocheting. I really need to start working a little more on that.
Anyways... Friday finally came and it was time for Vic!!! Kayla and I headed off around noonish and took a nice LONG stop in Nanaimo and did a little shopping and the traditional poutine at New York Fries. yummm. I found a screaming deal on an adorable dress and a pair of jeans. After we had our fill of the mall.... we carried on our way southwards.... Victoria!
We arrived with plenty of time to enjoy an evening of tea, a game of crib, the tail end of Hairspray, and giggles with two lovely girlfriends.
The weekend was filled with LONG days in class. 8 hours of sitting on a really hard, uncomfortable plastic chair... owwie. By the time we got home on Sunday night after 2 8 hour days in class, and a 3 hour drive home, my bum was so sore.
On Saturday night we all went out for supper. And I mean all. Everyone went to Vic for the weekend and because Sunday was Kinshasa's Birthday we decided to all go out for a lovely supper at Moxies where we had the best server in the restaurant. (thanks Calen)
I was hoping to get some work this week, but Monday and Tuesday came and went - no work. I was really worried that I wouldn't have any way of making money this week to help pay for the gas that I will be buying to get to and from Vic again this coming weekend. Thankfully though... God loves me so much and cares so much about me. It was amazing. Work appeared from nowhere. And I was able to bring it home with me and plug away working on it while enjoyed a couple Christmas movies. Oh how I love Christmas!!! Also... God blessed me with training at the Kingfisher this evening too!
And now I have another trip to Vic and visits with other friends this weekend and a lovely tea date with an amazing friend tomorrow. God is so good. I can't wipe the smile off my face.
Next week I have more awesome things to look forward to. My sister and brother-in-law are coming home from the Philippines and all my friends are coming over for an American Thanksgiving party. Turkey Time! yum yum yum.
So I guess things haven't actually been so boring this past week... mostly crazy-busy.
YEAH! I can't wait to see you and eat turkey! Love you lots, thanks for sharing!
