tea talks

It funny how I'll go a couple of weeks without writing and then.... Da da-da DUM... two days in a row!

I had such a wonderful evening today... and I just wanted to share with you how blessed I feel. My afternoon with my friend was amazing. We talked and talked, and drank tea and ate cookie dough. Then we ate supper, and talked and talked, and drank tea, and ate cookies, and talked and talked and talked. We talked about pretty much everything.

I was able to share my heartache and dreams with her. And she shared her heart of wisdom with me. She encouraged me, and challenged me.

I believe that true friend challenge each other. They point out areas in my life that I need to work on, and affirm me in the parts of my life where I am succeeding. They challenge me to seek after God with all my heart, and they encourage me to do my part and not just sit around waiting for things to happen. Heather does all this and more. She allows God to speak through her and into my life. She gives me words of truth and hope to hang on to. She encourages me to take risks in my simple safe little life. She really makes me THINK. And I love it! I come away from evening with her feeling refresh and alive.

God is so good. He knows the perfect time for everything. This just happened to be the day I really need a friend. And he had it all planned. He knows me better than anyone... I need to chase Him... and find his presence. I need to find my life in Him, instead of life on my own. He is where I place my dreams and desires... He will sift through them and pull out the ones that fit with His predestined plan for my life.
