Yup. I woke up (not early - because you all know how much I hate early mornings) did some of my chores, had a shower, made myself a yummy breakfast and a cup of tea.... and then headed out for the "big day" that I had planned for myself. In all honesty, I had two things planned for the day, and I only did two things. haha.
First stop: the Oh Spa. I FINALLY spent the gift certificate that I got for my birthday last year. It was for 'the service of my choice'.... so naturally I chose the most expensive thing... something that I had never had before. An hour and fifteen minute facial. It was INCREDIBLE. I've never had so many different goopy, delicious smelling things on my face. And it just kept going and going. I was so relaxed by the end of it that it really was SO difficult to get up. haha. But I managed to get up and dressed and stopped in the staff room for a few minutes to chat with the girls I used to work with. Oh... I miss them. They are all so sweet, and funny. Then I looked at the clock. Oops. Gotta run to the next thing I had on my list to do!
Second stop: coffee/lunch with Janelle. We went to this little coffee shop in Comox that was completely empty, except for us. We ate some delicious mulligatawny soup and tasty drinks. And then sat there and chatted for HOURS. haha. Yup... we were there for 4 hours. But I had absolutely nothing else planned for the day, so it work our perfectly. The place filled up with other people around 3 and then emptied again... and Janelle and I were the only ones in there. We talked and talked and talked.... about EVERYTHING.
Then I came home, fed the animals, fed myself, drank some yummy tea, talked to some friends on skype, and now I am reluctantly crawling into bed. I don't want this day to be over. It was pretty much the best day ever. And if I had the money to do it... I would do this at least once a month. haha. But, more likely, I'll have to save it as a once a year occasion.
