paint the trim green and call it Green Gables

This morning there is nothing more tempting to me than to crawl into this freshly made bed... with clean, crisp, warm sheets right from the dryer. I've spent the last week at one of my favorite house sitting houses, and today I have to go home.

Isn't this one of the most adorable houses you have ever seen? I feel like I have my own little collection of homes with all the places that I house sit... but this is definitely one of the best. On my days off I get to just hang out and enjoy this place. There is a beautiful back yard complete with a lovely garden and a little gazebo. On the sunny days I lay out in the back yard in the grass... on chillier days, like yesterday, I spent most of the day here....

... enjoying a good book and tea that tastes like sunshine... all snuggled up in my quilt and an oversized hoodie. In the past few months I have started 3 different books... and I was able to finish two of them this week. And I have to tell you right now, that if you haven't ever read The Book of Negroes... then you should read it. It is a beautiful and heart breaking story.

House sitting season is beginning again because everyone is going away on summer vacations. I have another week long stint for later this month... and possibly a 20 day job in August. I kinda love house sitting. As I'm living in these houses... I am collecting ideas of things I would like in my own house some day. I have a few ideas.

This afternoon I am heading to the dentist... and then Jodie and I are planning to raid my closet, and have a little photo shoot. I'm looking forward to it. Its been quite a long time since I last hung out with my camera... and my good, lovely friend Jodie. I feel like I never get to see her anymore because she's working 4 on-4 off at the hospital. And we rarely have days off together. Today will be a good day

Ok... well I've gotta finish cleaning up the house and get to the dentist on time.
