There is something so incredible about music. It can speak to me in ways that simple words just can't. Even the lyrics can feel dry and meaningless when spoken, but when sung... a whole new world is in front of me. A world with immense beauty, powerful convictions, peaceful noise and JOY.

This evening I went to a "concert". Steve Bell. Such a talented guy. And wise too. His music was incredible. Super chill... incredibly powerful. The evening was so simple, so pure, so real. Just one guy up on the stage with his guitar, sharing his heart with a bunch of strangers, and also sharing his incredible gift of music with us. Ahh. I just feel so blessed!

After a long day of swimming (I re-certified my lifeguard certificate today) and a busy day at work yesterday... it was great to just sit and soak it in.

Thank you Jesus for giving people the gift of music. I really appreciate it.
